I am honored to announce that my painting View of Fuji received the Gold Award in the Open Theme 2026 International Juried Art Awards, presented by Camelback Gallery.
The competition brought together artists from around the world and was evaluated by a professional jury consisting of artist Marie McCallum and gallery founder Kassandra Kaye. Receiving this award is especially meaningful as it recognizes a body of work that explores themes of travel, transition, and reflection.
View of Fuji captures a quiet moment during air travel. A grounded airplane rests between departure and arrival, creating a visual metaphor for the transitional spaces we experience throughout life. Inspired by both contemporary aviation and the symbolic presence of Mount Fuji, the painting reflects my ongoing interest in journeys, atmosphere, and the relationship between movement and stillness.
I am grateful to Camelback Gallery and the jurors for this recognition and for supporting artists through international juried exhibitions. Awards such as this encourage me to continue developing my artistic practice and sharing my work with a wider audience.
